American Express Digital Marketing
More about this American Express digital marketing campaign
For more than a decade, the World Monuments fund has received generous funding and marketing support from American Express to support its mission to safeguard the world’s most treasured architectural and cultural sites. The company was the founding sponsor of the World Monuments Watch program, launched by WMF in 1995 to respond to growing concerns over the plight of global cultural heritage. Issued every two years, the World Monuments Watch List of 100 Most Endangered Sites is one of WMF’s most effective tools in rescuing sites at risk. Through the Watch and other WMF marketing programs, American Express has contributed more than $10 million to help preserve 126 historic sites in 62 countries.
By clicking on the digital world map at http://www.wmf.org/partners/americanexpress/ you can learn about each of these 126 projects. In addition, you can find in-depth digital profiles of the sites that are no longer threatened, thanks to this long-term partnership. The support of American Express has enabled WMF to leverage millions of dollars in additional funding and has encourage new advocacy for preservation worldwide.
